Adapted to meet the requirements for the Driver CPC, this Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course covers the normal EFAW subject matter plus secondary survey, head injuries and spinal injury management. It is run in conjunction with Driveline Driver Training who offer a full range of Driver CPC courses
The course requires 7 hours of teaching time plus breaks and is taught in one day
Assessment is in the form of practical exercises and a straightforward multiple choice paper. Candidates must pass both elements to qualify for the First Aid certificate; a pass of the First Aid course is not required to obtain the CPC certification.
Please note that candidates must be able to perform exercises at floor level where required. It is a requirement of all regulated courses that the candidate should be able to communicate effectively with Emergency Services and, although this is not assessed formally, your instructor must be satisfied that this is the case. As such, all the question papers are in English and a reader will be provided if candidates have literacy concerns or learning difficulties.
Mix & Match
If you want to have staff members on this course who do not need their CPC then this is perfectly acceptable and for this reason we show the CPC cost as an eaxtra over the basic First Aid course cost.
Once qualified, the First Aid certificate is valid for 3 years, at the end of which candidates will need to attend a one-day EFAW to requalify. It is recommended by HSE that all First Aiders should do an annual 3 hour refresher course to keep their skills up-to-date.
CPC certificates are supplied for attendance on the course irrespective of whether the First Aid course is passed
We book a maximum of 12 people per trainer. Larger groups can be accommodated with additional trainers.
For an exclusive course where you provide the venue we charge £455.00 plus VAT for up to 12 candidates plus £20.00 plus VAT per person for the CPC element which includes the upload fee.
Please note that the enhanced content is only available when the CPC element is taken
