The Emergency First Aid at Work course replaces the old Appointed Persons course and meets the requirements of the
Health & Safety Executive
At the end of the course, successful candidates will be able to:

Understand the role of the First Aider including preventing cross infection, use of available
equipment and the need for recording actions and incidents.
Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency.
Administer appropriate first aid to someone who is unconscious, needs CPR, recovery position,
choking, wounded or bleeding, suffering from shock as well as minor injuries and fractures.
